Self-care is the root of happiness. It keeps us balanced. And so, true beauty must radiate from within.

We can also hinder ourselves from reaching happiness by consuming the unhealthy or unnatural or yes, over processed. These things are important to consider as stress can have a harmful impact on every part of our bodies.

The journey to achieving a happy and balanced life is lifelong, but don't let that scare you. The first step towards outer beauty is inner wellness. A connection to the natural world around us improves the journey. It benefits us. It can help reduce stress and aid in your self-care and wellness practices. Here are some things you can do throughout the day to bring you closer to a balanced life of wellness.

In the Morning
    How you start your day is crucial as it sets the tone for the rest of the day. You can wake up your body and digestive tract with some warm water diffused with lemon, ginger, or even tea leaves. This comfort drink will help ease you into your morning and get your body ready for the day. Use this time to connect with nature by sitting near a window or outside, if you can. Feel the elements connect with your body as you consume your morning drink. Flowers or house plants can be used as substitutes if you are unable to go outside.

    Meditation followed by or during yoga will help clear your mind and prepare it for the day. Take advantage your morning showers in order to add more self-care practices to your life. Enjoy the soothing scent as you drift away to sleep. Ending your day on a positive note is important because it unifies your daily experience and provides the foundation needed for a successful day tomorrow.
