Binge Watch: Making Time for Favorites

One thing most people don’t know about me is that I don’t watch a lot of TV. Well, outside of baseball of course! So if I watch a TV show for an extended period of time, or multiple times, you know I must love it. The only two current shows that I’m watching are Pretty Little Liars and Scandal, and while I love them, there are two shows that I am obsessed with.

The first one is going to be no surprise: Gilmore Girls. There is just something about that show that always brings me back. I think it’s because I grew up in a small town and love how they portray it and also how much I relate to Rory Gilmore. I would much rather stay in and read a book than go out and party. So how many time have I watched it? Thirteen. Yes, you read that right. Now I have only watched the revival two times, but that’s because it will never compare to the original series. I’m actually one of the few who liked the revival and the way it ended, but I will always love the first couple of seasons so much better.

Believe it or not, there is a show that I love more than Gilmore Girls and that would be How I Met Your Mother. First, the actors are just incredible. I don't think there will ever be an actor who can play a character better than Jason Radnor plays Ted Mosby. Speaking of Ted Mosby, his life lessons are the best you will ever hear. I can’t be the only one who wants to be friends with him just so I can get advice from him. For example, he could not be more right about long distance relationships. They don’t end well in most cases, so if you’re in one, you deserve an award or something. The bond between the characters is just incredible and they work so well together. So, I’m sorry I’m not sorry, but How I Met Your Mother is so much better than Friends.

Happy binge-watching!

Hi everyone! My name is Julianne and I am currently a junior in college studying Journalism. Every since I was little writing has been my passion. I never knew what I wanted to write about until six years ago when I fell in love with baseball. That moment changed my life forever and gave me a place to escape to when the world just got too hard. I'm also an obsessive coffee drinker and reader and completely obsessed with Taylor Swift. I can't wait to share more about me as I go on this incredible journey of being a member of Dream On Youth!
